ABOUT HOBBY HOPPING ART CLUBIU STUDENT LEAD ART CLUBWHAT IS HOBBY HOPPING ART CLUB?Hobby Hopping Art Club (HHAC) allows both inexperienced and experienced artists to share a creative welcoming environment and learn from fellow creators. Our organization presents all of its members an opportunity to expand one's own knowledge on countless mediums, practice and experiment with tools provided by HHAC, and create and be a part of a community that's accepting of all types of artists.
WHAT do we DO?As a community, we allow our members to vote at the beginning of each semester on the types of mediums they're interested in practicing with or learning more about, and then throughout the semester, expand their artistic horizon through demonstrations and workshops. We also practice the essential skill of critiquing one's own and others' artwork, and provide growing artists with meaningful feedback and constructive conversation on both individual art pieces and fully developed portfolios. Other types of events are also featured, including visiting local art galleries, working collaboratively on an art piece, and many more.

WHO CAN JOIN?Members do not need any artistic experience to join, nor must members make any sort of monetary commitment.
Our goal is to bring companionship and passion together, as well as provide new artists an open door into the art community without the pressure and commitments of a drawing class. HHAC also encourages experienced artists to continue creating and experimenting with new styles and mediums should they not have the time to commit to a class involving a new art medium. Members are free to come and go as they wish, and are encouraged to bring others to meetings, regardless of the point in the year they wish to join. |
